Rwanda Vision Trip: Day 9

May He give you the desire of your heart, and make all your plans succeed. May we shout for joy over your victory, and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests.

Jesus, these past few days have been good- understanding the culture more and more, caring for widows and orphans, grasping reconciliation. Tina pointed out this country’s ability to be honest in claiming the genocide and past as a way of marking a new beginning. She says it pushes her to be more honest about the hard things of her past. They post signs of ‘No More Genocide.’ I feel as though I could use my own sign ‘No More Criticism.’ posted on my heart to not put pressure on myself or others to be something we’re not.

Help me, Lord. I only want what is best in You, and I’ve struggled to find that lately. Today, please just allow me to rejoice in You, Your truth and people. Simplicity. I know You know my heart better than anyone. Please listen to it, and reveal my desires. Amen.
