It seems like yesterday that Cara and I were just two individuals working at Greyhouse on Friday mornings yet now, 2 years later, we are only days away from being married! I feel excited and ready to start this new chapter in life with Cara, and I am beginning to realize just how much I will learn about life, serving another, and what it means to follow Christ. So far it’s been a very humbling experience to walk alongside another person so closely, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. The next time you hear from me, I will be a married man!
Campus House and Greyhouse have played a massive role in providing Cara and I foundation on which to start our marriage, and both of these ministries have had a great deal of influence on our faith over the years as students and staff. We couldn’t be more excited to begin life together while still serving these ministries, and are anxious to see God’s plan for our marriage intertwine itself accordingly to these ministries as we continue to serve them.
Currently, it would seem that Campus House and Greyhouse are at a point where we can collectively take a moment to catch our breaths from what was an eventful start of the year. Our main event, Starry Night, went on without a hitch thanks to careful planning, and a combined unrelenting effort by all Campus House and Greyhouse staff, and of course the Lord’s blessing. We were able to play host to over 3,000 people, and raise money for an organization called “Hands Across the Wabash”, while also selling over 200 books to benefit the organization.
For those of you who have been keeping Campus House and Greyhouse in your prayers, I thank you. As of the start of October, with help from many of you, I have received pledges that equal to about 50% of the full amount that I need to raise (my overall goal is $958/month or $11,500/year for two years). I am grateful for this support, but still need more help. Would you consider donating monthly towards my support, and praying for me? If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at the email address below. I can’t wait to report to you next month about all of the exciting things that happen from now and until then.
